ISO 14064:2018 Carbon Footprint - Internal Verification Training Agenda: Carbon Footprint Course – ISO 14064: 2018 – Greenhouse gases – Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals – Internal Verification Training Course.

Course Overview:
The course provides an overview of the requirements of ISO 14064: 2018 for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals, and how to plan, execute and follow up verification of GHG statements made for your organization.

Overview on:

  • Requirements of ISO 14064:2018 – Part 1.
  • Quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals, GHG inventory design, development, and management.
  • Relationship between GHG sources, sinks, and facilities
  • Mitigation activities for GHG emissions
  • Verification of GHG statements and Calculations
  • Verification of GHG Reports
  • To carry out documentation review, interviews, and site inspection during a verification audit
  • Development of verification conclusion.

Course location:  Company premises.

Course duration : 16 Hours (2 MDs)

Delegates : Group- Maximum number permitted to attend is 15 Delegates. 

Deliverables

  • Training material (Soft copy). 
  • Participants will need to attend 100% of the course. A Certificate will be awarded after successful course completion- Non accredited.  

GHG Calculation/ Decarbonization roadmap for year 202x: 

  • Identification of GHG sources (Site survey /Inspection/ Data collection)
  • Identification & Collecting consumption data of GHG sources.
  • Collecting consumption data of GHG sources (Data collection/ Data review/ Data analysis/ Calculation)
  • Energy audit & Identification of decarbonization options
  • Identification of decarbonization options, setting plans and strategies to reduce emissions
  • GHG Inventory, set the baseline 
  • Maintain scope 1,2, and 3 
  • Setting the GHG target for decarbonization roadmap up to 202x.

  • GHG Calculation report
  • Decarbonization Roadmap report

Product Life Cycle Assessment :  Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a method used to evaluate the environmental impacts of a product, process, or service throughout its entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to disposal. It helps in understanding the environmental burden associated with a product by analyzing its inputs, outputs, and potential impacts. 

Deliverables:  LCA report per product.

GHG Verification statement : Greenhouse gas (GHG) verification statement is the engagement of an independent third-party practitioner (GSCS) by an organization to provide verification of their greenhouse gas statement using standards such as ISO 14064-3. The engagement is intended to enhance stakeholder confidence in the organization’s conformance to a set of defined criteria for the evaluation, measurement and reporting of GHG emissions.

Verification Period : 2 MDs (offsite/onsite)

Deliverables: GHG Verification statement- NON accredited.

  • Register online and submit the commitment letter 
  • Develop a target 
  • Submit your target for official validation 
  • Communicate 
  • Disclose your progress

Deliverables: Publication at SBTI platform

Project Duration: 2-3 Months
